Product Details

Scarban silicone sheets are a proven technology for treating scars (hypertrophic and keloid) and preventing abnormal scar development after surgery or an accident. The medical silicone sheet is self-adhesive (with the exception of the silicone sheets glove and finger), washable and can be used for a long period of time.

Scarban Elastic Silicone Sheets are the best choice if you require the most intensive silicone scar therapy. This sheet has an extra-thick silicone layer for optimum hydration of scar tissue, providing maximum support for rapid, itch-free formation in the case of abnormal scars. In addition, it offers at least 93% protection against harmful UV radiation.

Step 1
Rub the hand (especially the fingers) that require treatment with a cream (for example Alhydran scar cream ). This allows the hand to slide easily into the glove.

Step 2
Turn the cuff of the glove outwards. When putting on the glove, the finger parts are carefully pulled over the fingers with back-and-forth movements.

Step 3
When the glove is completely on, the collar is folded back again.

Taking off
When taking off the silicone glove, the cuff is folded outwards. Gently pull on the fingertips and gently remove the glove.

Step 1: Neutral soap

Rub the silicone patch with a few drops of Scarban® Silicone Cleaning Soap or a neutral soap.

Step 2: Rinse

Rinse the silicone plaster well under lukewarm running water so that all grease and soap residue is removed. After contact with soap and water, the adhesive strength disappears and the plaster rolls up.

Step 3: Drying

Allow the silicone patch to dry on a dry and clean surface, with the adhesive side facing up. While drying, the plaster unrolls itself and the adhesive strength gradually returns. Only use the silicone patch when it is completely dry.

Tip:

Are the edges of the silicone patch damaged over time? These can be trimmed if the adhesion deteriorates due to wear.

  • Each pack of Scarban® contains one or more silicone sheets.

  • If used correctly and cared for properly (according to the instructions for use), each pack of Scarban® Elastic is sufficient for approximately 4 to 8 weeks of treatment. While each pack of Scarban® Light is sufficient for approximately 2 to 4 weeks of treatment.

  • In the event of long-term therapy, several packs may therefore be necessary.

The size of the silicone glove is determined based on the circumference of the hand:

  • Small (S) 18 – 19 cm
  • Medium (M) 20 – 21 cm
  • Large (L) 22 – 23 cm
  • Extra Large (XL) > 24 cm

If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size. The smaller size ensures sufficient contact with the hand and puts more pressure on the scar.

  • The expiry date is stated on the packaging.

  • Scarban® silicone sheets can be stored for 3 years in its unopened packaging.

  • Store at temperatures between 5 and 25ºC.

  • Textile layer: polyamide, elastane.

  • Medical grade silicones.
